Falcon Fodder: One of eight seniors on the team one of seven Ontario natives on this year's roster second Falcon hockey player to come from St. Clair Beach, Ontario.
2000-01: Played in all 40 games led Falcons in scoring (20-27--47) and assists (27) scored first collegiate hat trick Oct. 22 against Michigan had a seven-game point streak from Nov. 3 to Dec. 1 scored points in 12 of 13 games from Dec. 9 to Feb. 3 (8-14--22) scored five assists against Miami during playoffs earned honorable mention All-CCHA honors.
1999-2000: Played in every game had a career-high four-game point streak (3-2--5) from Nov. 12-20 equalled longest point streak from Jan. 21-29 (3-5--8) had a three-game goal streak (4-3--7) from Oct. 23-30 had four-game assist streak stopped on Feb. 4 had three two-goal games scored the first goal of the game against Western Michigan, Ferris State and Ohio State had game-winning assist against Alabama-Huntsville.
1998-99: Played in all 38 games selected CCHA Rookie of the Week for his two-goal, one-assist performance at Alaska Fairbanks (Feb. 12-13) finished the weekend against the Nanooks with a plus/minus rating of +5 did not receive a penalty until the 19th game of the year named to the Bauer/CCHA Honorable Mention All-Rookie team had a season-high six shots on goal in Oct. 17 game against Northeastern recorded the game- winning assist versus Western Michigan (Dec. 12) and at Alaska Fairbanks (Feb. 13) tallied the game-winning goal Dec. 27 vs. Cornell (in overtime) and Feb. 27 at Ferris State.
Pre-College: Played for the Chatham Maroons of the Ontario Western Junior Hockey League had 92 points (40 goals, 52 assists) in 36 games for the Maroons coached by Dave Torrie selected the Ontario Hockey Association POY in 1996-97 played two seasons for the Tecumseh Bulldogs scored 139 points (62 goals, 77 assists) in 52 games in 1996-97 had 43 goals and 62 assists for 105 points in 42 games in 1995-96 for the Bulldogs played for coach Kevin McIntosh in Tecumseh spent the 1994-95 campaign with the Belle River Canadiens, who won the All-Ontario championship.
Personal: Full name--Gregory Andrew Day born February 25, 1977, in St. Clair Beach, Ontario son of Bob and Pierrette Day has two older brothers (Jason and Brad) a recreation major shoots right 1995 graduate of Lessor High School in St. Clair Beach lettered in hockey (for coach Bert Fournier) and soccer (for coach Jeff Healy) in high school was a member of the student council at Lessor enjoys poetry and classical music is a member of the BGSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
