2011-2012 (junior): Played in just 24 games for the Orange and Brown due to injury…scored three goals, including one on the power play and one short handed…one of three Falcons (Rodriguez, Ryan Carpenter and Bobby Shea) to score shorthanded…ranked third on the team with a .115 shooting percentage…committed 11 penalties for 30 PIMs…scored his first goal of the season in a shootout win against Ohio State, finishing with a plus -1 rating and three blocked shots…scored against Alaska-Fairbanks in a 3-1 win on the road…scored against Michigan in the CCHA Semifinals.

2010-2011 (sophomore): Played in 39 games for the Falcons…spent most of the time lining up as the top line center…scored his first goal of the season in a 3-0 shutout of Clarkson (Oct. 16)…constructed three different three-game point streaks during the year…scored four points in a single weekend on a pair of two-point games versus Notre Dame (Nov. 5-6) in a weekend split…missed the Northern Michigan home series due to an injury…finished with a total of 15 points (6g, 9a)...had two game-winning goals…had an on-ice rating of even or better in 29 games...finished with a (-1) plus/minus rating on the year…committed 13 penalties for 26 minutes…blocked 22 shots.

2009-10 (freshman): Played in 34 games…scored his first collegiate goal against Michigan (Nov. 21) at Lucas County Arena (now Huntington Bank Arena -- Toledo, Ohio)…scored a second goal the next weekend against Notre Dame (Nov. 28) in a 4-4 tie…recorded his first career assist and point at the BGSU Ice Arena against Western Michigan (Jan. 22)…scored his third goal of the season at Michigan State (Feb. 26)…played in all of the team’s last 30 games…committed 10 penalties for 20 minutes.

Prior to BGSU: Played with the Sioux Falls Stampede in 2008-09…played in 31 games, scoring six goals and six assists…had just 18 penalty minutes…was teammates with current Falcon defenseman Max Grover and incoming freshmen Dajon Mingo and Dan DeSalvo.

Personal: Full name is Marcus John Rodriguez…born on January 19, 1990…son of Michael and Kathleen Rodriguez…father played professional baseball for the Oakland Athletics organization…has three brothers, Mike, Matt and Joey…major is undecided.
