Played in 34 games...had a 10-game point-streak from Nov. 27 through Jan. 29 during which he had 18 points on five goals and 13 assists...missed Badger Showdown and Nebraska-Omaha series while playing for the U.S. National Junior Team (one goal, two assists in five games)...goal at World Junior Championships came against Canada...honored with the Bill & Helen Lloyd Award (Most Improved Player).
As a freshman in 1997-98
Recorded two assists in first collegiate contest (Oct. 10 vs. Waterloo)...followed with a three-game assist streak in November (Nov. 8 vs. WMU, Nov. 15 vs. OSU and Nov. 21 vs. Michigan)...had a team-best three game-winning assists...was not assessed a penalty in his final 13 games of the season...tallied both his power-play goals at Northern Michigan on Jan. 2...had two three-point games (Jan. 2 at NMU and Mar. 7 vs. Miami)...eight of his 12 points came at the BGSU Ice Arena...played for Team USA East in the 1998 Summer Hockey Challenge in Lake Placid...recorded one goal and four penalty minutes in four games.

Kings (1986-88) and was named Vice President, Hockey Operations, of the NHL this past summer after serving as an assistant coach with the Ottawa Senators during the 1998-99 campaign...father played 12 NHL seasons (1971-83) as a right winger with the N.Y. Rangers, St. Louis Blues, and Kings (saw action in 821 regular-season games, scoring 238 goals and assisting on 318 others)...has two brothers and one sister...criminal justice major...shoots left...selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the fourth round (113th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft...drafted by the Erie Oilers (formerly the Niagara Falls Thunder) in the 1995-96 Ontario Hockey League Draft (3rd round; 45th overall)...graduate of Cardinal Carter Catholic High School ('97) where he prepped for four years...works hockey camps in the summer.
