Falcons Put Five Match Win Streak on Line This Weekend

The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team will travel to Kalamazoo, Mich., for the second time in 2010 as they put their five-match win streak on the line versus the Western Michigan Broncos and Illinois-Chicago Flames on Sunday (Feb. 28). Tumbling begins at 1 p.m. in University Arena.

It will be the second time this season BGSU has faced-off with both squads. The Orange and Brown walked away with a 192.625-190.900 win back on Jan. 31 versus the Broncos. While the contest in Jan. was a Mid-American Conference meet, Sunday's dual contest will be a non-conference match.
Versus UIC the Falcons posted a season-high 193.300 in the win over the Flames (192.750).

A pair of wins this weekend would be the Falcons' sixth and seventh-straight, their longest such streak since the 2001-02 season.
Bowling Green (5-2, 4-0) has won each of its last five meets after opening the season 0-2. The Falcons are coming off a 193.175-191.875 MAC win over Eastern Michigan on Feb. 24 inside Anderson Arena. Their team score was the second-highest mark in 2010, helped by the fact that they won three of the four events and had Breanne Guy post a 38.925 in the all-around, a season-best.
Western Michigan (3-11, 1-4 MAC) is coming off their second-highest performance of the season, posting a 191.725 in a loss to Central Michigan (194.825). The Broncos had six top-five finishes in the loss.
UIC (1-9) is coming off a 195.100-191.750 loss at Ohio State this past weekend.
