Solway (Sr., Green Bay, Wisc.) through 26 games has already matched his goal total from his junior season (5) and is four points away from equaling his points total (18) from 2009-10. To date, the captain has nine assists on the year, four short of a career-high in a single season. He ranks third on the team in total overall points (14) and a share of the lead in points against CCHA opponents (10) with teammate Jordan Samuels-Thomas. Solway's five goals is good for a tie for second-most on the team.
Samuels-Thomas (South Windsor, Conn.) began the season on pace with his last year's performance when he opened the campaign with goals in back-to-back games and a three-point weekend against nationally ranked Michigan. The sophomore now has a share for the team lead in goals scored (6) and leads the team in assists (10) and points (16). To date, he has improved his on-ice rating by four, getting back into the positive with a plus-one rating this season.
Rodriguez is in the midst of a career year despite only being a sophomore. The Aurora, Ill. Native has already surpassed career highs in goals (6), assists (9) and points (15) en route to becoming the team's second-leading point getter this year. He has recorded BGSU's first goal in a game a team-high five times and has notched two game winners this season. Rodriguez has had three different three-game point streaks this season and had his most productive series against nationally ranked Notre Dame (Nov. 5-6) when he had a goal and three assist in the midst of his second such point streak.
