Baseball Schedule Changes For Morehead State Series
March 02, 2017 | Baseball
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Weather has caused some changes to the upcoming weekend schedule for the Bowling Green State University baseball team. The Falcons are heading to Morehead State this weekend, as previously scheduled, but cold temperatures and damp playing surfaces have changed the series schedule.
There will be no game on Friday (March 3). Saturday's (March 4) 2 p.m. game will remain as scheduled, but a doubleheader will be played on Sunday (March 5), starting at noon. Both games will be nine innings.
Bowling Green is in search of its first win of the 2017 season. That victory will also mark head coach Danny Schmitz's 680th win at BGSU. Tyler Anderson is expected to get the start in Game 1, followed by Brad Croy and Zac Carey.
After this weekend, Bowling Green will head to Emerson, Georgia for its annual spring trip. The Falcons will begin that trip with a pair of games against Jacksonville State on March 7-8.
