>>VERSUS MIAMI
- All-time the Bowling Green Falcons hold a 62-49-9 advantage over the Miami Redhawks. These old CCHA rivals will meet for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign when Miami traveled up to Bowling Green for a two game series. The Redhawks would win the first game (Nov. 24, 2017) by a final of 6-3, with the second contest ending in a 2-2 tie. The Falcons would take the unofficial victory in double OT of the second game 3-2.Â
- Bowling Green's last regulation victory over the Redhawks was during the 2016-17 campaign when the Orange and Brown defeated Miami in Oxford 4-1 on Oct. 29, 2016.
- This past off-season saw BGSU's former head coach Chris Bergeron return to his alma mater Miami University as head hockey coach. Bowling Green hired an alumnus of their own in Bergeron's former assistant coach Ty Eigner, to take the helm of the program.
Â
>>50 YEARS OF FALCON HOCKEY
- The 2019-20 campaign will be the 51st season of competition for the Bowling Green State University hockey program. BGSU elevated from club to varsity in November of 1969. In 50 years of play the Bowling Green Falcons have amassed one national championship, nine regular season conference championships, five conference tournament titles, two Hobey Baker winners and an all-time winning mark of over 65 percent. The team will be wearing a special patch in recognition of their 50th anniversary this season.
