Falcons Fall 4-1 in First Exhibition Matchup Against Robert Morris

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University ice hockey team began its 2025-26 season with a home exhibition matchup against the Colonials of Robert Morris University on Saturday, Oct. 4.
Robert Morris took the lead late on in the first period and extended their lead to 2-0 early in the second. Freshman Tanner Scott got the Falcons on the board after a shot from Gustav Stjernberg rebounded off the goaltenders' pads and fell to him at close range with 12 minutes to go. Robert Morris responded with two quick goals at 10:59 and 11:37 into the second to make the score 4-1 after two periods of play.
Robert Morris' second period goals ultimately put the game out of reach for the Falcons, as the game ended 4-1.
