TIME CHANGE: Falcons Set For Fan Appreciation Weekend As Part of Final Home Series Of 2026

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team returns home to Steller Field this weekend for the final home series of the regular season. The Falcons will host Western Michigan in a three-game set, beginning on Friday (May 8) with a 6 p.m. first pitch. The weekend will be packed with pre-game promotions as well as concession deals for the duration of the series. Below is important information regarding the weekend series and promotions. TIME CHANGE UPDATE: Saturday's game has been pushed back to an 8 p.m. start due to weather. Sunday's game has been changed as well, now set for a 2 p.m. first pitch.

All Weekend: Fan Appreciation

As a thank you to fans for supporting the team all season, there will be discounted concession items all weekend at Steller Field. Boxed popcorn, canned coke products and hot dogs, also known as Tube Steaks at the venue, will be $1 for the duration of the weekend series.

Friday: Scott "Scooter" Jess Recognition

Before Friday's game, the Falcons will be recognizing longtime equipment manager for BGSU Baseball, Scott "Scooter" Jess. Jess will be throwing out the first pitch prior to Friday's game following the umpire meeting. Jess will be retiring at the end of the season after 30 years of Service for BGSU Athletics.

Saturday: Senior Day, Commencement Recognition

On Saturday, the Falcons will be recognizing this year's senior class as well baseball student athletes who will be earning degrees either at the conclusion of the spring or summer semesters.
Families of those being recognized should report to the third base dugout at 2:15 p.m. with the ceremony set to start at 2:30 p.m.

Sunday: Mother's Day -- TIME CHANGE!

Prior to Sunday's game, mothers of current BGSU baseball players are invited to throw out a first pitch to their son for Mother's Day. Any mothers interested in participating should report to the third base dugout at 1:30 p.m. with the first pitch scheduled for 1:40 p.m.
