2012: Made 13 appearances on the season, starting 10 games...filled into the Friday starting role after the injury to Apthorpe, compiling a season record of 5-5...had a 4.12 ERA in 54.2 innings pitched...had a .274 batting average against...in a May 18 game at Buffalo, Malewitz went 8.1 innings for the win in his final collegiate appearance.
2011: Bounced back nicely after Tommy John surgery a season ago...was the feature weekday starter, and also got the nod against Kent State in the opening game of the MAC Tournament for the Falcons...his first win of the season came on April 20, when the Falcons went into Bill Davis Stadium, and knocked off Ohio State 5-4...in that game Malewitz went 6.0 innings, while holding Ohio State to just three runs on five hits...on the season he appeared in 14 games, while starting 7...had a record of 2-3 with an ERA of 5.59...held opponents to a batting-average against of just .294.
2010: Did not play due to recovery from off-season surgery.
2009: Pitched the team’s only complete game-shut out in the Matt Russel Tournament versus Northern Iowa (4/13) in a one-hit performance against the (mascot)… also threw 7.2 scoreless innings at Northern Illinois (3/28) with six strikeouts…struck out a seven batters over eight innings at Central Michigan (4/4)…sat down a BG career-best eight batters by strikeout over 7.2 innings in a 13-3 win over Buffalo (5/9)…only had one game from 2/21 to 4/4 in which he allowed more than three earned runs in an outing and three efforts with zero earned runs in that same time…in six away game starts he had a 2.86 ERA in 34.2 innings pitched, only allowing 11 earned runs and striking out 32 batters…between 2/28 and 4/4 he worked 40.1 innings and had a 2.23 ERA while allowing only 10 earned runs and striking out 24 hitters…opponents batted .205 in away games against him…left-handed hitters batted .182 against him…ranked ninth in wins, tenth in strikeouts, tied for eighth in innings pitched and tied for first in games started…named to the All-MAC First Team.
