Falcons Go To Bowling Green For Weekend Series At WKU
March 08, 2018 | Baseball
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team is set to play a three-game series at Western Kentucky University over March 9-11. The series will take place at WKU's Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Bowling Green dropped a 3-2 contest in 12 innings at Evansville on Wednesday (March 7) night. The Falcons will enter this weekend's series with a 3-10 record. Western Kentucky is 6-7. WKU took three games in a four-game series versus Northern Illinois in late February.
"We are looking to end our spring trip on a high note," said head coach Danny Schmitz. "We played extremely hard for 12 innings on Wednesday, and that's all I can ask for. We will be looking for that same energy this weekend against a very good Western Kentucky team."
After this weekend's series, the Falcons will get ready for their home opener at Warren E. Steller Field. Bowling Green hosts Fort Wayne on March 13 for a 3:05 p.m. first pitch.
