The Series At A Glance
Two familiar foes, the Falcons and Fighting Irish date back to the days of the CCHA, which was when the last meeting between these teams took place. In fact, Bowling Green's final series as part of the CCHA came against Notre Dame to close the 2012-13 season. In the series, the Fighting Irish hosted and took both games by a score in each. The first game ended in a 1-0 final after overtime with the second closing with a 4-3 score. However, this coming Saturday (Nov. 30) will mark the Irish's return to the Slater Family Ice Arena for the first time since January 15, 2013 when the Falcons were victorious in a 4-2 final. All-time, Notre Dame holds the series advantage, having won 55 of the 105 games played between the two teams for a record of 55-37-8 against BGSU. However, in games that have needed overtime, the Falcons hold a slight advantage, being 5-4-10 in those games, including having claimed four of those wins in Notre Dame, Ind.

Last Time Out
Last weekend, the Falcons split with Lake Superior State, taking Friday's (Nov. 22) game before falling short on Saturday (Nov. 23). On Friday, the Falcons surged to victory behind five goals, coming from five different skaters, being Max Johnson, Sam Craggs, Cameron Wright, Connor Ford and Evan Dougherty. Of those to find the net, Wright was the only one to tally a second point, assisting on Johnson's goal. Taylor Schneider also found the point column twice, assisting on goals from Craggs and Wright. In goal for the Falcons, Eric Dop registered his second consecutive shutout, his second of the season and fifth of his career. As for Saturday, the Lakers bounced back to take the game in a 3-1 final. Connor Ford scored the lone goal on the night for the Orange and Brown, his second of the weekend.

Rauhauser Just One Point From History
Senior Captain Alec Rauhauser was kept from logging a point last weekend against Lake Superior State, leaving him still one point shy from the century mark for career points with the Falcons. If Rauhauser can reach 100 this weekend, he will become the 72nd player in Bowling Green Falcon Hockey history to do so while also being the first since Mitch McLain during the 2017-18 season. In addition, Rauhauser would be the 13th true defenseman in program history to reach the milestone and the first since Kelly Perrault who played from 1993-97. Throughout the season, Rauhauser has gained momentum towards the mark, utilizing a seven-point-month in October, including three against Miami on Oct. 6 to bring him closer to achieving 100 career points. The seven points were the most among defensemen in the WCHA for the month, leading to him being named the WCHA Defenseman of the Month. Â
