HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 1
- It wasn't until the fifth inning that either team was able to put a tally on the board. In the bottom half of the inning, the RedHawks began the inning with a single. After two strikeouts, the runner on first stole second before coming home on a double to right field, giving Miami a 1-0 lead.
- After the double, a single to left center brought around the second run of the game for Miami, putting them up 2-0. With just seven innings in the game, the RedHawks were able to hold on to the lead for the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 2
- Miami began the scoring in the bottom of the first inning. With two outs, the RedHawks put together a rally, beginning with a walk. After the walk Miami saw a single followed by another walk to load the bases. A two-out, bases-loaded single through the right side paired with an error allowed three runs to cross the plate for an early 3-0 Miami lead.
- The RedHawks added two more runs in the second. After a single to right field a two-run home run increased Miami's tally to 5-0.
- In the third inning Miami added to the lead. Back-to-back singles to begin the inning put runners at the corners before a single scored them both to increase the lead to 7-0. Later in the inning a bases loaded ground out brought home another to make it 8-0.
- Miami registered five runs in the fourth inning to push the lead to 13-0. A triple started the inning, which included two doubles and three singles.
- The sixth inning saw the RedHawks log a two-RBI single to increase the score to 15-0.
- Bowling Green scored in the top of the seventh. Nathan Archer walked and stole second before a Tyler Ross single scored him to make the final 15-1.
