Falcons Gain Three Points In CCHA Standings
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green Falcons (4-9-0, 2-3-0 CCHA) captured their second conference win of the season against the Northern Michigan Wildcats (5-7-1, 3-4-0 CCHA) on Friday night in Slater Family Ice Arena. Freshmen Brody Waters and Senior Seth Fyten both saw a season game-high of two goals. Brett Pfoh and Gustav Stjernberg both got in on the action and scored one a piece. Josh Nodler tallied two assists on the night.Â

"We talked about how we were good in the first period, we liked how we played as a team in the first period. Then in the second, we got away from it a little; the power-play wasn't as sharp and we did a good job at killing penalties, 5-on-5 we were just okay, and we didn't have a bunch going. Then the third period, Brody Waters finishes checking the corner and that flipped the whole thing…"

Scoring Plays
- A four man rush down the ice led to the Falcons getting on the board first. O'Hara was the first one to make the break, passing the puck over to Josh Nodler where he hit it over to Brody Waters across the ice at 10:12 in the first period.
- Artem Shlaine tied the game up at 12:45 in the second period. Shlaine tipped a shot off from his teammate to even the game up in the second.
- Michael Colella tallied a short-handed goal at 2:49 in the second period, to put the Wildcats in the only lead of the night. Colella blocked a Falcon goal and then took the puck down the ice himself to shoot it past Moore.
- Brody Waters tied the game up at 16:56 in the third period, that started the Falcons five unanswered goals. Waters found the puck alone and took it down in Wildcats territory and snuck it past their goaltender.
- Brett Pfoh regained the Falcons lead at 15:55 in the second period. Ben Wozney passed the puck across the ice to Pfoh who skated past his defender along the boards and found the back of the net.
- Gustav Stjernberg made the fourth and second power-play goal of the night at 11:38 in the third period. Stjernberg hit the puck at the point and it bounced its way into the back of the net, to give the Falcons a 4-2 lead.
- Seth Fyten added to the scoring not soon after at 10:50 in the third period. Fyten received the puck from Quinn Emerson open in front of the goaltender and hit it into the right top-corner.
- Seth Fyten responded to his own goal at 2:50 in the third period with an empty-net goal. Fyten won a foot race and skated the puck down the right boards and found the back of the net.
Falcon Facts
- Brody Waters and Seth Fyten had a season game-high of two goals scored in a game. Waters now tallies six goals on the season and Fyten scoring his first two goals of the season. Waters also tallied his second power-play goal of the season.
- Brett Pfoh and Gustav Stjernberg both tallied one goal, Pfoh with his second of the season and Stjernberg with his fourth and second power-play goal.
- Josh Nodler tallied two assists on the night, being his second game with two assists. Nodler now has seven on the season, for the Orange and Brown.Â
- The Falcons had a season game-high of six goals scored in a game, five of them being scored in the third period. The last time the Falcons scored five goals in a period was against Miami (OH) in a 7-4 win, where they scored five goals in the third period (10/6/2019).
