Scoring Plays
- Bowling Green started the scoring with a power play goal from Dalton Norris. Nathan Burke kept the puck in the zone after a clearing attempt from Ferris State, then weaved a diagonal pass to Norris. His shot deflected off a defender's skate and into the net right before the power play expired.
- A few minutes later, Austen Swankler added to the BGSU score. Ryan O'Hara's shot was blocked, but he made a strong effort to keep it in the zone before sending a cross-ice pass to Chase Gresock. He skated into the right circle before feeding a crashing Swankler, who chipped it into the net for the goal.
- Ferris State scored their first goal with just over two and a half to play in the first. BGSU dumped the puck into the zone, but Drew Cooper was able to fire it out to Jacob Badal. He sent it through the neutral zone to Tyler Schleppe, who had his initial shot saved. The rebounded leaked out to Badal, who knocked it in for FSU's first tally.
- Less than 30 seconds into the second, the Bulldogs tied it. Jason Brancheau skated behind the net and made a pass up the ice to Brenden MacLaren, who had his shot blocked. Several players poked at the puck before it slipped up the slot to Brancheau, who fired through traffic and found twine for the tying score.
- With just over five minutes to play, the Bulldogs took the lead. Bradley Marek won a faceoff in the left circle, with Travis Shoudy gaining possession. He shot from the blue line and the puck made its way through the bodies and into the net.
- With 1:22 to play and the Falcons bringing on an extra attacker, Taylor Schneider tied the game. Alex Barber sent the puck along the blue line to Zach Vinnell, who fired at the net. Nathan Burke's redirect attempt went wide, but Schneider was positioned perfectly to knock in the rebound from right of the crease.
- With 6:23 to play, Ferris State attempted a centering pass. The puck sailed through the zone and off the skate of a player going off the ice, but play continued. Less than 30 seconds later, Nick Nardecchia scored the game-winner. He pushed in the rebound from a Ben Schultheis blue-line shot, with the call on the ice standing after a review for too many men.
