Ross Extends On-Base Streak To 11 Games
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nathan Archer began the game with a single to right field, but Dayton worked out of the inning with a strikeout and double play.
- Dayton tallied the first run of the game with a two-out bases loaded walk in the first inning. A hit by pitch followed for a 2-0 score and a BGSU pitching change. After the change, Dayton hit a grand slam to stretch their lead to 6-0.
- The Flyers added a run in the third. A ground rule double followed by two flyouts scored the run for a 7-0 tally.
- Dayton added four runs in the fourth inning and one in the fifth to make their lead 12-0.
- In the top of the sixth, Garrett Wright was hit by a pitch to begin the inning. Archer followed with a single through the right side to put runners at the corners. Jack Krause stepped in as a pinch hitter and doubled down the left field line to score Wright to put BGSU on the board.
- Tyler Ross was hit by a pitch to load the bases again. TJ Takats drew a walk to score Archer and keep the bases loaded. Landon Roque pinch hit and put a ball in play that scored both Krause and Ross before a Dayton pitching change with the score at 12-4.
- Dayton knocked a solo home run in the sixth inning as well as an RBI double to push the score to 14-4.

- With a single in the fourth inning, Tyler Ross extended his on-base streak to 11 games, reaching in each of BGSU's games this season. He also extended his hitting streak to a team-best five games.
- Nathan Archer led off the game with a single to right field to continue his hitting streak, now at four games for the Orange and Brown. Archer has multiple hits in all four games of the streak with 10 over the four games.
- Walking in the sixth, TJ Takats continued a four-game on-base streak and four-game RBI streak. In the four-game stretch, Takats has seven RBI with three multiple-RBI games.
- With a pinch hit base knock in the sixth inning, Jack Krause extended his on-base streak to four games for the Falcons.
- Pinch hitting in the sixth inning, Landon Roque made his BGSU debut, putting a ball in play that scored two for the Falcons with a throwing error.
UP NEXT
BGSU will resume MAC play next weekend against Ball State on March 15 for a three-game weekend series. The home opener for Bowling Green is quickly approaching as well, hosting Akron March 22-24.
