2012: Appeared in 18 games, starting three of them for the Orange and Brown...started the final two games of his career at Buffalo, going 2-for-6 with a run scored and an RBI...hit a home run in his only at-bat on March 9 vs. Bradley.

2011: Appeared in 21 games, starting five...hit .161 in 31 at-bats...of his five hits, Vannett doubled two times and hit one home run...had eight RBI's, slugging .323.

2010: Played in 17 games, starting 12 all at catcher…recorded two hits in two of his first three starts, including three doubles…made five relief appearances behind the dish, including one in the MAC Tournament against Central Michigan (5/27)…finished with 73 put outs and seven assists.

2009: Played in 11 games on the year…made his first collegiate start behind the dish against Oakland (5/12) where he got the first base hit of his career on an RBI double…went 1-for-4 in that contest…made appearances as a pinch hitter and catcher on three occasions during the Matt Russell Tournament in Winter Haven, Florida.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three letters for coach Doug Merrill...helped the Bobcats win the Northern Lakes League title as a senior hitting .487 with nine home runs and 48 RBI...team finished with a 22-6 record...was a first-team All-NLL and All-Wood County selection...he played in the state all-star game...hit .340 as a junior and .300 as a sophomore as the Bobcats finished second in the league both seasons...played a majority of his three years behind the plate, but also played third base...also lettered in football (3) and basketball (3)...was the team MVP in baseball and basketball his final year.

PERSONAL: Full name is Matthew Robert Vannett...son of Mike and Beth Vannett...born May 16, 1990...a construction management and technology major...his father is the dean of students/athletic director at Bowling Green High School and played baseball and basketball at Wittenberg University.
