LAST TIME OUT
Though the record states Bowling Green suffered three losses at the hands of No. 12 Louisville last weekend, what can't be read by their record is how close the Falcons played the Cardinals. After their 13-1 defeat on Opening Day (Feb. 19), the Falcons took a 2-2 lead into the seventh inning in game one of a doubleheader before allowing a three-run inning in a 5-2 loss. In game two on Saturday (Feb. 20), the Falcons scored seven runs in the opening frame before Louisville mounted a slow comeback to overcome the Falcons in ten innings, 8-7.
UP NEXT
The University of Kentucky is set to host the Bowling Green Falcons as they meet for the first time since 1992 and the first time at home for either school. UK is the second of three schools from the Bluegrass State that BGSU will play this season.
THE SERIES
The Falcons and Wildcats have only met once before, that having been done nearly 18 years ago when Bowling Green was on its spring trip that year. In that game, the Falcons fell to UK 5-1.
