Coming off their most successful weekend since the beginning of the year, the Bowling Green State University baseball team will travel to Ann Arbor to play the University of Michigan on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons enter the contest with a mark of 6-16 overall, after having won 2-of-3 over the weekend at Central Michigan. The Wolverines come in with a record of 11-14.
The Pitching Matchup

Freshman Brett Fitzwater will take the hill for the fourth time this season, putting his 1-1 record on the line. Fitzwater picked up his first collegiate win during opening weekend at Western Kentucky. Ben Ballantine, a senior, will oppose Fitzwater on the mound.

Michigan enters the contest with a record of 11-14 (1-2 Big Ten) overall, coming off a weekend series vs. Minnesota. Michingan is coached by Erik Bakich, who is in his first year with the Wolverines. As a team, the Wolverines bat .283. They are led at the dish by senior Patrick Biondi, who is currently hitting .393. Three Wolverines have started all 25 games. Michigan has a team ERA of 3.71.
The Series
While the Falcons trail the all-time series, Bowling Green will put a winning streak over the Wolverines on the line on Tuesday afternoon. Last year, the Falcons downed the Wolverines by a 2-1 score, as freshman Trevor Blaylock got the win in that game.
