Campbell Beats Bowling Green On Sunday

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team lost at Campbell University by a score of 17-3 on Sunday afternoon. The game wrapped up the team's three-game weekend in Buies Creek, North Carolina. The Falcons split a doubleheader with Canisius on Saturday.
Bowling Green drops to 3-9 on the young campaign with the loss, while Campbell improves to 4-7. The ballgame was played at Campbell's Jim Perry Stadium.
"We need to improve in all three phrases of the game," said head coach Danny Schmitz. "Today's performance was not acceptable."
Neil Lambert and Derek Drewes led the Falcons with two hits apiece. Drewes also drove in a run, as did both Gama Martinez and Anthony Smith. Jeremy Spezia turned in 1.2 innings of scoreless baseball.
Bowling Green will be back on the diamond on Wednesday, March 7, when the program heads to Evansville for a midweek game. The Falcons will conclude their spring trip with a three-game series at Western Kentucky over March 9-11.
