KENT, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team was defeated by Kent State University, 12-0, Saturday (May 5) afternoon at Schoonover Stadium in Kent, Ohio. The Golden Flashes claimed the series win in the process, as KSU took yesterday's series opener.
"I thought Beutel was really good. He really battled out there and deserved a lot better than what he got," said head coach Danny Schmitz. "Every game is a playoff game from here on out, and we need to play like that. We need to get out to a fast start tomorrow, and execute in the three phrases in order to get a win."
The MAC-leading Golden Flashes jump to 31-13 on the season with the win. KSU is 15-5 in league play. The Falcons drop to 10-31 (5-13 MAC) on the campaign with the loss.
Tomorrow's (May 6) series rubber match is set for 1 p.m.
