MUNCIE, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team travels to Muncie, Indiana this weekend for a three-game Mid-American Conference series at Ball State University. The series begins with a 3 p.m. ballgame on Friday, April 26.
Â
All three games will be streamed live on ESPN+. Ball State currently sits in second place in the MAC, but the Cardinals just took two-of-three games from conference-leading Miami last weekend. Ball State enters play this weekend with a 25-15 (9-4 MAC) record.
Â
Last weekend, the Falcons were five outs away from a home-series victory over Western Michigan. However, the Broncos scored three runs in the eighth to claim the series. Bowling Green has just 14 regular-season games remaining, including four more conference series.

COACH SCHMITZ QUOTE
"This is another important weekend for our baseball program. Ball State has been a great program in the MAC for a long time, and this year is no different. They have some elite arms and they always have a potent offense. This weekend will be a big challenge and our team is looking forward to competing together for 27 innings."

SERIES HISTORY
• Bowling Green leads its all-time series with Ball State, 62-58-2.
• Bowling Green will be in search of its first series victory over Ball State since 2016. The Falcons won the series opener that season in Muncie, 5-1, before taking the series finale in dramatic fashion by a score of 8-7. Ball State had the bases loaded with only one out in the bottom of the ninth, but BG closer Tony Landi induced a game-ending double play to secure the series win for the Falcons.
• Last season, in a series played at Steller Field, Ball State took two-of-three games. The Falcons won the series opener in unbelievable fashion. BGSU trailed by a score of 5-1 with one out and nobody on base, before storming back to win the game, 6-5, on a Nick Neibauer walk-off single.
