FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team hits the road on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. first pitch against the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons. The game was originally scheduled for 3 p.m., but has since been moved up due to expected inclement weather in the Fort Wayne area.

Purdue Fort Wayne enters Wednesday's game with an overall record of 5-24. The Mastodons are 0-12 in Summit League play. Offensively, PFW is led by Alec Brunson, who is hitting a team-high .308 with 10 RBI. Garrett Mohler has registered 19 RBI and has slugged four home runs. Expected starter Sean Ferguson has pitched just 3.2 innings on the season, and has had an issue with control, walking 15 batters compared to two strikeouts.

Over its last four midweek games, the Falcons have compiled a 3-1 record, including wins over Dayton (April 3), Youngstown State (March 26) and Oakland (March 13). Bowling Green is still in search of its first midweek win on the road. In BG's only midweek road game of the season, the Falcons were defeated by Purdue of the Big Ten on March 20.
