Today, we highlight your No. 16 choice for the top student-athlete of the past 20 years, gymnast Jovannah East!
16. Jovannah East (2017 - 2020)
Â
From the moment she arrived at BGSU, Jovannah East got the attention of the rest of the MAC.
Â
Her freshman campaign was a resounding success, as she was awarded MAC Freshman of the Year and named to the All-MAC First Team. She scored 9.800 or better for 28 of 32 routines across three events (vault, beam, and floor), and was named to the MAC All-Tournament Team. She also qualified for the NCAA Regional.

She became the first Falcon since Marny Oestreng in 1999 to reach nationals and was the first Falcon ever to compete as an all-arounder at nationals.
