Of the 18, 11 of the Falcons have been able to tally at least two points against Northern Michigan this season, including four with five points or more. Closing In On 20 WinsÂ
With 19 wins in the regular season, the Falcons are closing in on accomplishing their 20th win of the season, needing just one more during the postseason. If they can do so it would mark the seventh consecutive season with 20 wins or more, becoming the second longest streak in program history, with the record being nine straight seasons from 1981-82 until the 1989-90 campaign. The current streak began during the 2014-15 season and would surpass the six-year streak that spanned the entirety of Ron Mason's tenure, being from 1973-74 until 1978-79.Â
Looking To Extend HistoryÂ
The Falcons have advanced past the first round of the WCHA tournament each of the previous seven seasons that Bowling Green has been a member of the conference and will now look to make it eight. Additionally, the Falcons will enter carrying a streak of 10 straight seasons in which they have won a best-of-three series, dating back to the 2010-11 campaign.Â
Wright ThereÂ
After tallying another assist against Alabama Huntsville, Cameron Wright needs just one point to become the team's fourth active 100-point scorer, currently with 99 points, consisting of 50 goals and 49 assists thus far. If Wright reaches the mark it would be the first time since the 1996-97 season that the Falcons have at least four active players with 100 career points. In that season, Bowling Green rostered Curtis Fry (194 points), Mike Johnson (162), Kelly Perrault (148) and Brett Punchard (135). Wright would join Brandon Kruse, Max Johnson and Connor Ford. Â
