BGSU is back in action on Tuesday at YSU

The Bowling Green State University baseball team's Sunday (May 7) game at Virginia Tech has been canceled due to inclement weather. The game will not be made up.

The contest, scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m., was delayed 90 minutes due to weather. When it began, DJ Newman lined a Griffin Stieg pitch into the right-field corner for a double, and Newman continued on to third on an error. A walk to Sam Seidel put Falcons at the corners, but with Kyle Gurney at the plate, the game was halted at 2:37 p.m. due to weather.

The Falcons will be back in action on Tuesday evening (May 9), heading to Youngstown to face Youngstown State in a 5:00 p.m. start. Then, BGSU will return to Mid-American Conference play with a three-game home series vs. Northern Illinois next weekend (May 12-14).
