DiLodovico, Curlis Launch Their First Homers Of 2026
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miami (OH) tallied the first hit and run of the game in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead through one frame.
- The Falcons broke into the scoring column in the third. Carter Mottice led off with a double and took third on a balk. A sacrifice fly off the bat of Brayden Curlis scored Mottice for a 1-1 tie.
- The RedHawks reclaimed the lead in the bottom half with a two-run home run for a 3-1 score through three innings.
- To begin the fourth, Sam Seidel reached on an error and stole second. A single to center from TJ Takats was enough to score Seidel, cutting the score down to 3-2.
- Miami again answered, scoring two in the bottom of the fourth to push their lead to 5-2.
- The back-and-forth continued in the sixth. Takats drew a walk, setting up a two-run home run off the bat of Andrew DiLodovico to close the gap to 5-4.
- Mottice drew a walk in the next at-bat to prompt a Miami pitching change. Brayden Curlis welcomed the new arm with a two-run home run of his own to push the Falcons in front with a 6-5 lead.
- The RedHawks again answered in the bottom of the sixth, moving back in front, 8-6. Miami added one in the seventh and four in the eighth for a 13-6 score.
- Bowling Green answered in the ninth. Griffin Scheiderer walked to put one on. Anthony Mitta struck out, but a wild pitch resulted in him reaching with two outs. Vinny Salvione came through with a single to right, scoring Scheiderer for a 13-7 tally.
