Baseball Takes On Wright State Tuesday Night

The Bowling Green State University baseball team will travel to Wright State University for a midweek matchup with the Raiders on Tuesday night. The game will be played at Nischwitz Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 pm. The Falcons will enter the contest with a 14-21 record, while Wright State comes in with an overall mark of 23-11.
The Falcons, after defeating Michigan in midweek action last week, are coming off a weekend in which they took two out of three from Mid-American Conference leader, Kent State. The Golden Flashes had previously come into the weekend undefeated. In Friday's game, the Falcons came-from-behind to defeat Kent State in 14 innings. Patrick Martin went the final two innings, picking up the win. On Saturday, the Falcons would once again come-from-behind to beat the Flashes, 9-6. Bowling Green scored seven of their nine runs in the 7th and 8th innings. On Sunday, Kent State was able to defeat the Falcons, 31-20, in what was the second highest scoring game in Steller Field history.
Wright State, of head coach Rob Cooper, is coming off a weekend in which they took two out of three from Milwaukee in Horizon League action. Wright State defeated Miami Univerisity, and University of Cincinnati in midweek action last week. The Raiders are led by Jake Hibberd, who enters with a batting average of .395. Hibberd, who is a senior infielder, is a native of Miamisburg, Ohio. Wright State comes into Tuesday's game with a team batting average of .309, and a team ERA of 4.74.
