Baseball Hits The Road For Series At Miami

The Bowling Green State University baseball team will travel to Oxford, Ohio this weekend for a three-game series at Miami University. The games will be played at Miami's McKie Field at Hayden Park. Friday is scheduled for 6 pm, while Saturday is a 3 pm start, and Sunday will begin at 1 pm.
The Falcons are coming off a weekend in which they took 2-out-of-3 from Kent State. The losses were Kent's first two losses in MAC play. The Falcons have also defeated Michigan and Wright State in the past week. The Falcons went to Wright State on Tuesday night, defeating the Raiders 8-6. Last season, Kent State and Wright State were both participants in the NCAA tournament a season ago.
Bowling Green enters the weekend with a 15-21 overall record, and a 4-8 mark in the MAC. The Falcons are led by sophomore outfielder Andrew Kubuski. Kubuski is batting .366 through 34 starts on the season. T.J. Losby leads the team with 27 RBI on the year. The Falcons come in with a team batting average of .293 on the season, while the team ERA is 4.89.
Maimi will play a game on Wednesday versus Dayton before the weekend. Miami currently stands at 17-19 on the season, with an identical 4-8 record in the MAC. Miami is led offensively by Matt Honchel, who is batting .410 on the year. Miami, of head coach Dan Simonds, enter Wednesday's game with a team batting average of .301, and a team ERA of 5.09.
