Falcons Take On Yellow Jackets In Midweek Matinee

The Bowling Green State University baseball team will play host to Defiance College on Wednesday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 3 pm at Warren E. Steller Field. The Falcons enter the game on a two-game winning streak, having won the last two games of a weekend series against Central Michigan this past weekend. Bowling Green comes into play on Wednesday with a 10-17 ledger overall.
Defiance, who is a member of the NCAA's division three, comes into the week with a 7-12 mark. They will play Bluffton College in a Tuesday matchup, before coming to Bowling Green for Wednesday's game. The Yellow Jackets are coached by Derek Woodley, who is in his fifth season at the helm of the gold and purple.
Darin Waterman, who is listed as a pitcher on the school's website, leads the team in batting average with a .397 mark. He has started 19 games as a designated hitter, and also appeared in five contests on the mound. The Yellow Jackets are also paced by Brad Kremer, who is hitting .375. Kremer, who is a sophomore infielder, is joined on the roster by his brother Brent Kremer. Both are natives of Saint Henry, Ohio, and were high school teammates of Bowling Green's Nick Bruns.
