Baseball Travels To Michigan For Tuesday Night Game

The Bowling Green State University baseball team will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. for a midweek game on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 pm at the Wilpon baseball complex on the University of Michigan campus.
The Falcons, coming off a weekend in which they got swept on the road at Akron, will come into the game with an 11-20 record. Michigan enters the contest with a 15-17 record. Michigan is 5-2 at home, while the Falcons are 3-11 on the road.
Michigan is coached by Rich Maloney, who is in his 10th season as the head coach of the Wolverines. They are led offensively by Will Drake, a freshman outfielder from Fairfield, Ohio. Drake is batting .323 on the year. As a team, Michigan holds a batting average of 2.54, and an ERA of 4.31.
Tuesday's game will begin a crucial week of baseball for the Falcons, as they will host Kent State this coming weekend in a Mid-American Conference series. Kent State will enter the weekend at 9-0 in the MAC, while the Falcons come in at just 2-7. However, Warren E. Steller Field has been a tough place for opponents to play this year, as the Falcons are 6-1 at home. Friday's game will be played at 3 pm, while Saturday and Sunday's games will be played at 1 pm.
