BGSU's Ninth Inning Rally Falls Short In Kalamazoo
April 22, 2023 | Baseball
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team scored two runs in the ninth inning against Western Michigan on Saturday (April 22), but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit with a 10-6 final in favor of the Broncos. For the Falcons, Nathan Archer hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to make it 3-2, his second home run in as many games. However, WMU tallied five runs in the fifth to move out in front 8-2. The Orange and Brown chipped away, scoring one in the sixth, one in the eighth and two in the ninth, but it fell short of the 10-6 score. The two teams will conclude the series on Sunday (April 23) with a 1 p.m. first pitch.
