Quoting Coach Eigner
"This was a really tough one. The start was pretty good; we had some chances. We had a good look a couple shifts in, we had a good look on the power play and we didn't capitalize. And then, we stopped playing hockey and Michigan Tech didn't. They deserve all the credit because there isn't a single facet of the game where they didn't completely outplay us."
"I think the second period was similar to the first. We started the second period well. Owen Ozar has a good chance and he hits the post. Against a goalie like Blake (Pietila), you don't know how many chances you're going to get. You have to take advantage of those chances, and we didn't tonight."
Up Next
The Falcons and Huskies will wrap up their weekend series on Saturday night (Feb. 24) in a 7:07 p.m. start. Saturday's game will be Senior Night, and the 1984 National Championship Team will also be recognized.
