Falcons, Flyers Set For Midweek Matchup Wednesday In Dayton

BGSU, Dayton Scheduled For 3 p.m. First Pitch On ESPN+
DAYTON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team will play their first midweek contest of the season, taking on the Dayton Flyers on Wednesday (March 13). The game is set for a 3 p.m. first pitch at Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium. This will mark the first game in a home-and-home series with the Flyers. The second game is scheduled to be played at Steller Field on April 23. Wednesday's game will also be streamed on ESPN+.
Scouting Dayton
Dayton is currently 9-6 with a game at Northern Kentucky on Tuesday (March 12) before facing the Falcons. The Flyers enter the week with a three-game winning streak after winning the last three games in a four-game series against South Dakota State. BGSU will be Dayton's second MAC opponent this season after hosting, and beating, Toledo on March 6 in a 6-2 final. The Flyers have been strong at home with a 6-2 record and also tallied a road win over No. 6 Vanderbilt on Feb. 20 with an 8-5 victory.

In total, Ross slashed an impressive .571/.556/.929 in the weekend sweep while leading the team in RBI, doubles and total bases, tying for the team lead in hits and triples and tying for second in runs scored.

Good gave up just one hit over seven innings in his Saturday start against Miami (OH). Good allowed an infield single to the first batter he faced and then proceeded to not allow a hit for the next seven innings. Good tallied seven strikeouts in the start and picked up the victory in the second of three BGSU wins this weekend, giving the Falcons a sweep in Oxford for the first time since 1995. Over the course of his seven innings, Good allowed just one run and walked only two while holding RedHawk batters to a .043 batting average.
