Sova Strikes Out Seven In Relief Appearance
OXFORD, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team began the weekend series against Miami (OH) Friday night (March 13) after a couple of wind delays. The RedHawks jumped out early, growing their lead to 8-0, including a five-run fifth. The Falcons attempted a comeback, scoring three in the eighth and two in the ninth, but the effort fell short in the 8-5 final score. Offensively, Bowling Green was paced by a three-run home run from Vinny Salvione. As for the mound, Carrson Sova locked down Miami in the later innings, giving up just one run over 3.2 innings of work while striking out seven.
