Current Midweek Schedule
Tuesday, March 24 vs. Tiffin | 4 p.m.
Wednesday, March 25 vs. Findlay | 6 p.m.
Seidel Leaving His Mark On BGSU
Senior infielder Sam Seidel has left his mark on Steller Field in more ways than one. A graphic design major, Seidel aided in the design and development of the new outfield wall at Steller Field. Seidel was a key piece in the look of the graphics in both outfield corners as well as the "Falcon Baseball" across center field. In a poetic transition, Seidel was also the first player to hit a home run over the new wall, belting a grand slam in Bowling Green's 7-0 win over Ohio on March 20.
Scouting Tiffin
Tiffin enters the week with a 9-14 record on the season while being 4-4 within the G-MAC. The Dragons are coming off a series split against Ohio Dominican over the weekend, taking the last two of the four-game series to give them a current two-game winning streak. TU began the season 0-9, but have rallied back for a 9-5 record in their last 14. As of now, Bowling Green is the lone Division-I opponent on the schedule for Tiffin.

Scouting Findlay
The Oilers head into the week with a 15-9 record on the year with a 7-1 standing within the G-MAC. Findlay has won their last seven games, sweeping a four-game series against Kentucky Wesleyan as well as taking three of four against Malone. UF also took three of four from Gannon, giving them a 10-2 record over their last 12 contests. Like Tiffin, Bowling Green is currently the only Division-I opponent on the schedule for Findlay.

What To Watch For
DiLodovico Finding Stride
Andrew DiLodovico has found his spot as the starting catcher for the Falcons and has put together a strong offensive performance in the process. DiLodovico currently has a six-game hitting streak for BGSU while also scoring in all six games as well. A freshman, DiLodovico is hitting .435 (10-for-23) over the last six games with eight runs scored, four RBI, a triple and a home run. The stretch has pushed his batting average to .300 on the season, second on the team among qualified players and third overall.
Tale Of Two Seasons
Through the team's first 17 games, the Falcons posted one of the most difficult schedules in the nation. Entering last week, Bowling Green ranked fourth in Strength of Schedule according to the NCAA. The weekend series moved BGSU down to 52nd with the next team in the MAC clocking in at 137 with Toledo. As for the rest of the season, the Falcons' schedules eases, ranking 211th in the nation and eighth in the MAC. Overall, the Orange and Brown are still projected to finish the season with the second-toughest schedule in the MAC behind only Ohio.
Striking Out The Competition
As a pitching staff, Bowling Green has found their groove in the strikeout column. So far this season, BGSU has posted eight different pitching outings with 5+ strikeouts. Jacob Turner leads the way with three followed by two from both Nate Kress and Ethan Stade. The list rounds out with one from Carrson Sova. As a team, the Falcons are averaging 8.7 strikeouts per nine innings with 173 through 20 games. On the current pace with 55 games on the schedule, Bowling Green will total 476 strikeouts this year, which would obliterate the program record, set last year, at 431. BGSU has set a new team strikeout record each of the last two seasons, registering 403 in 2024. Prior to 2024, the record had been set at 368 from the 1999 campaign.
Shutting Out The Noise
Through 20 games, Bowling Green has already tallied two shutouts this season after having two over the last three seasons combined. The Falcons shutout Miami (OH) on March 14 as well as Ohio on March 20. In doing so, BGSU is one of 51 teams in the nation with two or more shutouts this year and the only team from the MAC among that group. This also marks the first time that Bowling Green has had multiple shutouts in the same season since posting three during the 2021 campaign, doing so against Akron on March 27, Miami (OH) on May 18 and Northern Illinois on May 29 that season.
Stade Settling In
Ethan Stade has started to settle in for the Falcons. On Friday (March 20), he tossed seven scoreless innings and picked up the win for Bowling Green. Stade has produced scoreless outings in three of his last four appearances. Over the four appearances combined, he's totaled 15.1 innings of work while striking out 26. He tallied eight strikeouts in his most recent outing and logged 11 over four innings earlier this season against Kent State on March 7. Over his last four appearances he's also allowed just six hits and four walks.
