Throughout the month of September, we will reveal one selection at a time each weekday over a five-week stretch. Today, we highlight your No. 12 choice for the top student-athlete of the past 20 years, football player Kory Lichtensteiger!
12. Kory Lichtensteiger (2004 - 2007)

Hailing from Van Wert, Ohio, Kory Lichtensteiger was a force to be reckoned with on the offensive line.

Lichtensteiger made an immediate impact following his redshirt season when he was awarded the team's Future Award. He was also a part of the 2004 Falcons squad that won the GMAC Bowl over Memphis, when he earned Second Team All-MAC.

Playing both guard and center, Lichtensteiger was a two-time First Team All-MAC recipient, as well as a 2007 Rimington Award Trophy finalist, which is awarded to the best center in college football.

Lichtensteiger was drafted at No. 108 overall in the NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos in 2008, which was the highest BGSU draft pick since 1994. He played in the NFL for eight years for the Broncos and Washington Redskins, starting 75 games at guard and center.
