Falcons Drop Sunday Series Finale

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team completed its four-game weekend series with the University of Toledo on Sunday (May 16) afternoon. UT won the series finale, 19-2, to take three of four games from the Falcons. The Mid-American Conference ballgame was played at UT's Scott Park. Bowling Green drops to 12-21 in league play with the defeat.
The Bowling Green offense registered eight hits, led by multiple-hit efforts from Dylan Dohanos, Adam Furnas and Nathan Rose. Kyle Gurney drove home a run with an RBI double. Rose plated BGSU's other run. Tyler Haas went 1-for-3 with a walk for the Orange and Brown. Jeremy Spezia made his second appearance of the weekend, firing a scoreless sixth inning.
Bowling Green hosts Miami University on Tuesday (May 18) for a MAC doubleheader. The Falcons won the first game of the series, 7-1, on May 4. The four-game series will conclude with a single game on May 25. All three games against MU will be played at Steller Field at Gary Haas Stadium.
