More Power Play Notes
Bowling Green's power-play goal Saturday night marks the second game in a row that the Falcons have scored on the power play. The Falcons' last back-to-back games with a power-play goal came at the start of the season, when Bowling Green scored with the man advantage in three-straight contests to open the year. Williamson's tally with the man advantage marks his first power-play goal since Dec. 31, 2011, in a 2-1 loss to Bemidji State on the road.
Continuing The Streak
While the Falcons were able to score on the power play in both games against Ferris State, they also allowed a power play goal both nights, extending their five-game streak. The last time Bowling Green did not allow a power play goal was Nov. 2, a 1-0 win against Michigan State on the road. The Falcons are 42-for-57 on the penalty kill this season, ranking last in the CCHA at 73.7 percent.

Going To OT
Bowling Green and Ferris State are no strangers when it comes to overtime, with three of their last five meetings going to the extra frame. The Falcons had defeated Ferris State twice in OT last season, securing a 3-2 and 4-3 win on the road in the second round of the CCHA Playoffs. DeSalvo's first goal of the season Friday night snapped a 13-game goal drought dating back to March 11, 2012, in the Falcons series-clinching game against Ferris State in the CCHA Playoffs. Along with his goal, DeSalvo secured two assists in the contest, giving him a season-high three-point night. Carpenter Continues
Carpenter extended his point streak to four games Saturday night, assisting on the Falcons' only goal of the contest. He is one game away from matching his career-best five-game point streak set last season. Carpenter leads the Orange and Brown in goals (4) and points (9) in 2012-13.
Shots

Burke
Freshman Tommy Burke started Saturday night's contest, stopping 12-of-14 shots in the loss. Burke's lowest save total came against Michigan State (Nov. 3), when he stopped five shots in relief of Hammond.
Short Handed
Ferris State's first goal Friday night came with the Falcons on the power play, marking the fifth short-handed goal the Falcons have allowed this season. Senior Andrew Hammond has allowed four of the shorties, while freshman Tommy Burke has allowed one. The Falcons have not allowed five short-handed goals in a season since 2010-11.
Comparing Records
The Falcons current record sits at 2-8-3 overall, with a record of 1-5-2-1 in conference play. Looking back at last season, Bowling Green was 6-6-1, but carried a similar conference record of 1-6-0.

Hammond stopped a career-high 55-of-58 shots in the game, falling one save shy of tying the Bowling Green single-game record (Jordan Sigalet with 56 against Notre Dame Oct. 17, 2003).
The Last Road Win
The Falcons travel to Yost for the first time since the second round of the CCHA Playoffs in 2010-11, where they fell in two games to the Wolverines. Bowling Green is currently on a five-game losing streak at Yost, with the Falcons' last win coming on Nov. 20, 2009, a 4-2 victory.
