Murray State Defeats BGSU In Series Opener

MURRAY, Ky. – The Bowling Green State University baseball team opened up its series at Murray State University with a 4-0 loss. The non-conference ballgame was played at MSU's Reagan Field. The three-game series will conclude over the weekend with single games scheduled for Saturday (Feb. 29) and Sunday (March 1).
Bowling Green drops to 1-6 on the young season with the loss. The Racers move to 5-5 with the victory. Murray State is 4-0 in 2020 at home.
Murray State scored one run in the first and three runs in the fifth. The Falcons received hits from Jake Wilson, Nick Neibauer and Ryan Johnston. Trent Farquhar and Neibaier worked two walks apiece.
Andrew Abrahamowicz got the start for Bowling Green. He allowed two earned runs over 4.1 innings while striking out five batter. Jay Ward fired 2.2 scoreless innings from out of the bullpen. The lefty allowed just one base runner. Max Carevic pitched a scoreless eighth inning.
